Purpose of the Role:
This position is meant to serve the purpose of being the front line of the Process Engineering activities to ensure that Process Engineering and design work is done with rigor and made error free.
Job Responsibilities:
Technology Transfer
- Engineering and Process Safety data Generation based on Laboratory SOP and lab Demonstration.
- Preparation of Mass Balance and Energy balance, utility costing for R&D projects.
- Process Optimisation for process Side stream like Solvent recovery and Aq. Effluent.
- Preparation of Technology Transfer Package (TTP) for R&D Projects.
- Handling of 2-3 R&D Projects at a time individually.
- Engineering data generation related to critical unit operation e.g., Distillation, Filtration, Extraction.
- Conducting kilo-lab/pilot trials of new synthesis.
- Validating process engineering data during kilo-lab/pilot trials.
- Working out process calculations and modifications of existing plants to map new products in existing plants.
- Scaling up process to commercial plants based on data collected in pilot & laboratory trial.
- Commissioning and establishing products in commercial plants.
- Participation in PHA, HAZOP study for safety assessment.
Supporting Role during New Projects
- Supporting project team for equipment selection and sizing.
- Supporting contract manufacturing team for campaign planning.
- Supporting project team in commissioning of new project on commercial plants.
- Review of engineering/technical documents (PFD,P&ID) prepared by project/consultant team.
- Support to commercial scale during pre-commissioning & commissioning activity.

- Reaction Calorimetry (RC)
- Automated batch reactor
- VLE apparatus
- Batch Distillation/SPD.
- FBR
- ARC & ARSST
- DSC
Qualification:
B.E. / B. Tech. - Chemical (Full time) with 2-4 Years of Experience
Knowledge of
- Strong basics of chemical engineering.
- Scale up studies, Pilot Trials
- Attention to details & excellent presentation skills.
- Basic understanding of different safety tests for Powder and Thermal safety.
Skills Required:
- Basic computer skills e.g., MS-Excel, MS-word
- Ability to work in team.
- Ability to take lead with cross functional team interaction.
