Job Summary: The role of the Formulation Chemist will be to develop and test formulations in support of UPL’s portfolio and new products, develop, test and compare formulations for new AI additions to portfolio, improve current formulations, find innovative and novel ways to add value, evaluate new AI’s and/or raw materials in existing formulations, manufacture samples for product chemistry, efficacy studies and field evaluation as needed and understand and implement federal and global mandated formulations changes.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Science and minimum 3 years’ formulation lab experience.
- Experience with formulation equipment and general analytical equipment in developing Ag formulations with a knowledge of pesticide formulations and EPA/PMRA/REACH requirements.
- Experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment working in a collaborative team environment with other disciplines and global units.
- Must have a working knowledge of industry manufacturing techniques and capabilities and work with the manufacturing group to optimize the manufacturing process for new formulations.
- Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft office.
