Role Summary
Training and Integrated Crops program officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training and integrated crops programs. This role ensure that farmers, distributors, agronomists, and sales teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to optimize crop performance using sustainable and innovative agricultural practices
Role Responsibilities
Training development & Implementation
- Design and deliver good agricultural practices training program for farmers, Sales teams, distributors, and other stakeholders
- Develop training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and digital content in line with budget available
- Organize and lead field demonstrations, workshops, and field days to showcase best crop management practices
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and performance metrics
Integrated Crop program Management
- Coordinate and implement in line with internal stakeholder Integrated crop Program (Maize, Onion, Tomato,) that promote sustainable farming
- Collect and consolidate Integrated Crop program datas (N° of farmers, N° of surface, Yield,etc)
- Monitor and Assess Integrated Crop program results
- Support the introduction and adoption of new agricultural technologies and biostimulants
Technical Support & Advisory Services
- Offer technical guidance to farmers, distributors, and internal teams on product applications and agronomic best practices
- Troubleshoot crop-related issues and provide science-bases solutions to optimize yield
- Stay updated on agronomic advancements and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate recommendations
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Work with internal teams (Sales, marketing, R&D, Regulatory) to align training program with business objectives
- Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies, agricultural institutions, and farmer cooperatives , to support knowledge transfer and advocacy
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and training workshops
Market & Industry insights
- Monitor emerging agricultural trends, challenges, and innovations to enhance training programs and crop solutions
- Conduct field visits to gather insights from farmers and agronomists on real-world agricultural challenges
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on farmer experiences and market needs
Reporting and documentation
- Maintain records of training activities, participants feedback, and impact assessments
- Prepare technical reports, case studies, and best practice guides for internal and external use
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and sustainability requirements in all training and crop management initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in agronomy, crop science, or related field
- Experience in training, extension services or technical advisory roles
- Understanding of soil health, nutrient management, irrigation systems and crop rotation
- Knowledge of plant physiology and responses to biotic and abiotic stress
- Knowledge in pest management
- Ability to diagnose crop diseases, pests, and nutritional deficiencies
- Strong knowledge of benefits and risks related to Crop protection products
- Familiarity with bio stimulants, biofertilizers, and organic inputs
- Understanding of fertilizer formulations and nutrient uptake dynamics
- Awareness of agricultural regulations, pesticide use laws, and food safety standards
- Strong technical writing skills for preparing reports, manuals, and training materials
- Fluent in French, Bambara, English
- Driver’s licence / Effective and autonomous driving
