GIS Engineer

 

GIS Engineers are responsible for discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping, developing mapping applications and tools. At nurture.farm, GIS Engineers will apply their GIS skills to create solutions based on remote sensing of agricultural fields.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Surveying, Engineering or related field.

  • Proficiency with SQL, R and Python.

  • Experience with mapping tools such as QGIS and Carto.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Analyzing spatial data related to agriculture through the use of mapping software.

  • Discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data.

  • Developing models for identifying problems in agriculture.

  • Working with software engineers to deploy their solutions at large scale for real-time remote-sensing based algorithms.
