Job Summary: The Business HR Intern will provide valuable support to the UPL NAM Human Resources Team in carrying out the day-to-day HR activities of an organization. This includes assisting with HR compliance management , maintaining employee files, employee engagement, communications, talent management, benchmarking, and assisting with the execution of bonus plans.  

 

JOb Responsibilities:

  • Learns the operations aspects of the facility and how HR supports the business operations.

  • Performs process analysis for current HR processes and procedures. Suggests potential alternatives to improve efficiency and timeliness.

  • Assist with Talent Mangement action planning including finding ways to attract, develop and retain employees.

  • Assist with organizational design benchmarking including comparing UPL NA’s practices, polices, and programs to industry standards and best practices and providing recommendations.

  • Work with the Commercial HR Business Partner to rollout the Sales Incentive Plan to employees in North America.

  • Assists in updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details and maintaining current employee files.

  • Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits and other HR-related matters.

  • Assist with other tasks & projects as assigned by manager.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, or related

  • Must be comfortable taking direction, working independently, and managing multiple projects.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.

  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be detail oriented.

 

Location: This position will work on-site at our Research Triangle Park, NC location.
