Mechanical Service Representative

Provide services to assigned accounts in a given territory. Ensure timely delivery and proper use of Decco products.  Provide mechanical support to ensure proper mixing and application of Decco products.  Build, maintain, and repair equipment as needed.


  • Delivery of Decco products as needed in company vehicle.
  • Repair and maintenance of application equipment, washers, waxers, pumps, motors, gear boxes, chains, sprockets, and all other processing equipment as needed.
  • Fabrication and metal work for building needed equipment.
  • Inventory management- Maintain proper inventory levels at customer locations 
  • Ordering and delivery of products in addition to assisting the customer in the proper ordering of the products they use.
  • Documentation of daily activities.  Maintain detailed log of service activities while on location
  • Provide monthly reports for chemical use, inventories, and other required reports.
  • Must maintain a professional and courteous business relationship with the customer and other industry personnel.
  • Responsible for the handling of products and equipment in a safe manner and according to the label, Safety Data Sheet procedures, and your supervisor's instructions.
  • Accountable for the accurate mixing of waxes and fungicides, cleaners, and sanitizers.
  • Properly calibrate pumps and applicators for various applications
  • Perform chemical field tests and adjust equipment accordingly.
  • Instruct packing house personnel regarding safety procedures and the proper use of Decco products.
  • Make installation/changes of application setups.
  • Maintain the accounts in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Work together with Service Manager regarding Decco equipment and processes
  • Complete all job assignments or activities assigned by ManagersMinimum Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience working in a maintenance environment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work in the United States on an on-going basis without company sponsorship


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Welding capabilities
  • Fabrication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Additional Job Details

  • Position requires individual to work both alone and in a team environment. 
  • Work will be conducted in office, mechanical shop, packinghouses, and in a company provided vehicle.  While based in an office/shop environment, it will require frequent time spent on calls to customer’s accounts and in packinghouses. Work conditions will include noisy areas and wide range of temperatures.
  • Interaction required in individual customer meetings as well as industry meetings and trade shows.
  • Position will require travel to all regions of the United States and occasional international activities.
