Job Summary
As the Crop Protection Regulatory Manager, you will lead the timely acquisition and maintenance of federal pesticide registrations for UPL, ensuring accurate execution of all regulatory submissions and compliance requirements that enable market access and business growth.
This role requires strong accountability for meeting critical deadlines while serving as the primary liaison with EPA, USDA, and other federal and state regulatory agencies. You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and legal teams and engage professionally with regulatory authorities, trade associations, task forces, grower groups, customers, industry partners, and competitors as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage & deliver on regulatory requirements & applications towards new technical and end use product registrations, re-evaluations, label modifications, source changes, data call-ins, import tolerances, and all EPA PRIA and non-PRIA actions to maintain, defend, and expand uses for UPL brand products

Create regulatory dossier submission for the U.S. EPA following guidelines, and serve as primary Regulatory point of contact on Project Leadership Team providing regulatory support to R&D, Supply Chain & Manufacturing, Marketing & Sales personnel. Responsible for ensuring regulatory game plan is implemented in a coordinated manner as per project plans, while fostering partnerships

Primary liaison between UPL and the EPA, as well as internal and external partners, including representing UPL on Trade Associations, Task Forces, etc. on assigned products and regulatory policy developments of importance to UPL.

Engage and negotiate effectively with the U.S. EPA to ensure timely approvals and defend UPL’s regulatory positions.

Work effectively with State Regulatory, Regulatory Sciences, Government Affairs, Global Regulatory, and other internal Regulatory partners on assigned priorities & initiatives

Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives of UPL regulatory processes; develop, maintain, and deliver on budget (Operational and Capital). Support Data Compensation activities.

Leads US regulatory competitive intelligence efforts raising awareness on key regulatory issues of potential impact to UPL products while strategically developing action plan.

High demonstration of negotiation and engagement skills with the U.S. EPA for all regulatory matters, presenting persuasive arguments for timely registrations.
Requirements

Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of bachelor’s degree (ideally within Agriculture or related scientific discipline) with at least 5+ years’ experience in the pesticide industry with pesticide registration experience.

Possess working knowledge of FIFRA and a proven track record of U.S. EPA pesticide product registrations

Has developed regulatory strategies to obtain, maintain, and defend active ingredients and product registrations with federal and state authorities

Has demonstrated ability to work independently, and within team environment to deliver successfully within a matrix organization and regulated business environment.

Solution oriented, critical thinking with continuous improvement mindset, organized, and strong communication skills are highly desired skills.

Direct experience in data compensation is a bonus.
