The role holder is expected to partner with the commercial leadership of the business, functions and deliver business performance management, business decision support, and gross margin analysis (P&L) for Canada Ag business. This position involves working closely with the Canada Ag business teams to provide support for budgeting, forecasting, sales incentive plan management and enabling operational performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analyses to support business decisions, including variance analysis and profitability assessments and provide actionable insights to stakeholders by partnering with the commercial and functional teams to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts (including SGA), providing regular updates and recommendations.
- Engage with the Canada Ag business teams (Commercial, other functions) to control costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure projects are executed within budget and time constraints and participate in the Commercial/ Sales review meetings (Weekly/ Monthly) based on the defined cadence.
- Support product wise sales and contribution analysis in partnership with the Marketing team.
- Review rebate payouts for the Canada Ag business and in collaboration with the Sales, Marketing and Finance teams while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as requested by Regional Head of Finance, Commercial leaders, Global Finance teams or external stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Manage and support with the audit requirements for the Canada Ag business.
- Sales Incentive Plan management in partnership with HR, S&OP teams ensuring clarity of Sales targets, incentive calculations and tracking achievement against the defined targets, presenting the dashboard to the Regional Sales Teams, Key Account Managers, relevant commercial stakeholders on a monthly basis.
- Proactively identify and execute system improvements and other efficiency projects with support from respective functional teams.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (CFA/CPA) preferred.
- 7+ years of proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably in a business partner role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in understanding SAP will be required along with proficiency in MS office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
