JOB Summary:
UPL is seeking a Lead Finance Business Partner for the US Ag business who will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, strategic decision-making, and supporting transformational initiatives across commercial organizations. This role goes beyond traditional business partnering to include strategic projects, M&A support, and business model optimization. The incumbent will collaborate with commercial leadership, corporate development, and global finance teams to deliver business performance management, strategic decision support, and financial insights that shape growth strategies. Responsibilities include leading budgeting and forecasting processes, enabling operational excellence, and providing financial leadership for strategic initiatives and acquisitions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior commercial leaders, influencing strategic decisions through robust financial analysis and scenario planning.
- Strategic Projects: Support due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration planning for acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Collaborate with corporate development and global finance teams to assess investment opportunities and risks.
- Performance Management: Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Monitor financial performance against targets and provide actionable recommendations.
- Commercial Insights: Deliver product-level profitability analysis, gross margin optimization, and pricing strategy support in partnership with marketing and sales teams.
- Cost Optimization: Drive cost control initiatives and identify efficiency opportunities across functions.
- Sales Incentive Governance: Oversee incentive plan design and execution, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.
- Financial Reporting & Analytics: Prepare executive-level dashboards and reports for senior leadership, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Transformation & Systems: Lead finance-related process improvements and digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent finance in cross-functional strategic forums and commercial review meetings, influencing decisions at the leadership level

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA/CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, including business partnering and exposure to strategic projects or M&A.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Excel; experience with BI tools preferred.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional collaboration
