POSITION SUMMARY:

The objective of this role is to bring value to grain producers, grain handlers and logistic companies, and related farmer networks to improve the effeciency of post-harvest storage and transportation. UPL is a commercial partner of TeleSense. TeleSense is a post-harvest monitoring and predictive analytics startup focusing on reducing waste, increasing quality and improving profitability in the food value chain. This role will involve business development of TeleSense's grain monitoring and analytics system with new and existing customers of UPL. The role will involve leading sales/partnership discussions, customer engagement and support, product marketing (hardware and software) of TeleSense, and helping UPL customers effectively use TeleSense technology to reduce food waste, reduce costs, and increase quality. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

You will be UPL's main point of contact between TeleSense and UPL customers who are utilizing TeleSense technology. Your role will be to identify potential customers, facilitate an introduction, and demonstrate the value that TeleSense technology can deliver to the customer. Sales, installation and monitoring will be conducted by TeleSense.This role will be responsible for coordinating with UPL's other businesses to help generate sales and for hardware development/manufacturing, and for coordianting with potato producers to develop additional markets for TeleSense products. This position will also help TeleSense achieve specified revenure targets.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Agriculture or Business Management 
  • 5+ years' experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development roles
  • Prior experience with Agricultural Technology Ecosystem/Products (perferred)

TRAVEL: 40%-50% (Domestic and International Travel)
