JOB SUMMARY:
The job holder will implement UPL global trade flow and MRL strategy to defend and maintain UPL product registrations. This position will also be responsible for assessing the impact of global MRL changes on UPL commercial
activities in importing and exporting countries and devising strategies to mitigate those impacts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement the UPL global trade flow and MRL strategy to defend and maintain UPL product registrations
• Assess impact of global MRL changes on UPL commercial activities in importing and exporting countries and devising strategies to mitigate those impacts
• Interact with global, regional and country colleagues to compile necessary information to determine risks in UPL’s global portfolio;work with colleagues to derive a solution through trade flow analysis of commodities with key UPL
products, coordinating with internal Marketing and Commercial colleagues and residue experts on assessing critical threats and high probability solutions
• Act as an internal consultant on MRL strategies for new actives, import tolerance submissions and label expansions
• Deliver comprehensive foresight policy evaluation and trend insights to the organisation to spot trade and MRL challenges and opportunities
• Aid strategy outreach and delivery, establish and lead cross functional, inter-regional teams to establish an MRL network of individuals to implement global policies and coordinate trade flow tasks
• Drive industry alignment and advocacy priorities according to company objectives. Key tasks will include representing UPL at Industry MRL/Trade Associations as well as maintaining strategic relations with food
chain multipliers, government authorities and grower organisations
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

5-7 years experience working in government, agro/bio chemicals or academia on MRLS, residue/ regulatory management issues. Experience of working on trade flow policy preferred.

Master’s /Advanced degree in agriculture science/s, business/ marketing/ communications/ public affairs preferred

Awareness and working experience of crop protection industry and associated regulations.

Ability to communicate effectively with people from various disciplines and geographies to analyse and solve complex regulatory trade flow problems.

Strong influencing skills, ability to work across the organizations with different people and culture behavior, Interpersonal & Multicultural skills, Resilience, Emotional intelligence.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language (compulsory), any additional global language preferred

Excellent presentations skills (conferences, seminars, etc.)

Ability to work across multiple geographies (time zones) and work with a diverse workforce
