JOB Summary: As the HR Business Partner for Corporate functions, Supply Chain & Manufacturing for UPL’s North America regional teams across the U.S. and Canada. You will serve as a strategic HR partner to senior leaders across Finance, IT, Legal, Regulatory, and SCM functions. Additionally, you would be responsible to partner with the UPL Global team members based out of the U.S. and Canada. In this role, you will develop and execute HR strategies that align with the business objectives for the functions in scope. HR business partner will manage HR functions and initiatives linked to talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and culture employee engagement. The ideal candidate will bring solid functional understanding, strong business acumen, and a data-savvy & analytics driven mindset to influence and support high-performing, customer-focused team.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Corporate & SCM function leaders in UPL’s North America Region to execute HR strategies that are aligned to business growth objectives.
  • Provide HR support and guidance to the UPL’s Manufacturing Site operations including employee relations, compliance and workforce development.
  • Collaborate with global HR teams, HR Centres of excellence functions to ensure policy consistency and support cross-border talent mobility, including expatriate management and integration of global employees based in the US, Canada.
  • Provide expert guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations tailored to the respective functions.
  • Support and guide annual performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews, calibration sessions, and development planning.
  • Partner with Global Compensation & Benefits team and Regional Finance teams to design and implement incentive plans and compensation strategies that align with commercial performance metrics and market benchmarks.
  • Manage Talent Acquisition efforts for the functions in scope and ensuring alignment with the employer branding and workforce development needs.
  • Manage talent management initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and career planning.
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement across corporate and manufacturing environments.
  • Use data and people analytics to identify trends, measure impact, and take informed strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions.
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to generate actionable insights, monitor workforce trends, and inform strategic decisions that enhance employee engagement, retention, and productivity.
  • Act as a change agent to support organizational transformation efforts, including M&A, restructuring initiatives as needed and drive the adoption of new ways of working for the functional teams.
  • Be a champion for HR digital transformation initiatives, automation tools, and self-service platforms to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance employee experience within the region.
  • Be a champion for driving operational efficiency enhancements through collaboration with UPL’s Global Capability Centre.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certificate (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • 3+ years of HRBP experience, with a strong track record supporting Corporate functions and and/or Manufacturing functions in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. Experience in agriculture, life sciences, or chemical industries will be a preferred.
  • Strong understanding of corporate business drivers and operational challenges.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-savvy with the ability to interpret business and HR metrics, generate insights, and influence decisions. Experience with tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems will be required e.g. SAP Success Factors, Workday, etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels and geographies.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment laws and compliance requirements.
