JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Head of North America is a critical position on the North America leadership team focused on driving strategic initiatives to assist in delivering on the global goal to double company sales over the next 5 years. The Marketing Head reports into the Regional Head of North America and collaborates with regional and global teams; Head, Global Marketing, Head, US Ag Sales, Head, Corporate Alliance, Head, Head, Canada, Head, R&D / Regulatory, Head, HR, Head Finance, Head, Legal.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Member of the North American Regional Leadership Team (RLT) accountable to develop / deliver the annual financials, mid / long term strategy and a high engaged work force.
- In partnership with the Commercial Leaders, develop portfolio leadership teams and sales and operations processes to deliver a profitable portfolio of products within United States and Canada.
- Partner with the global portfolio team to create a strategic plan for new product introductions and redefine the roadmap to meet annual and 5-year objectives.
- Partner with the Research & Development, Regulatory organizations at the regional and global level to develop the product portfolio pipeline for the region that contributes towards the short-, medium- and long-term business objectives.
- Develop and implement growth plans both organically and through potential acquisitions.
- Lead from the front and directly impact the future growth of the business through leading Product Marketing, Canada Marketing, Marketing Services and Communications
- Be accountable for new product launch excellence, value pricing, portfolio development and management and enhancing the global brand of UPL with customers.
- Develop a high-performance team and drive a culture of marketing and execution excellence.
- In partnership with HR, build a development program for the Marketing team.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preferred focus in Ag Marketing or Business.
- History working in the Agricultural Chemical or related Agriculture Industry required.
- 15-20 years’ Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, and Customer Marketing, etc.
- 10-20 years’ Leadership and management of both indirect and direct teams.
- Demonstrated success creating implementing marketing strategies.
- Prior direct and / or indirect sales channels; distributors, retailers, and growers.
- Set direction and drive results while collaborating and liberating the potential of the marketing team.
- Lead Portfolio Marketing Leadership Teams.
- Lead Sales and Operations execution in alignment with the commercial teams and supply chain.
TRAVEL: Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time
