Summary
The Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the execution of the Supply Chain quality assurance/control program by developing and implementing the best practices approach to sustain the quality vision for the North American (NA) business unit and leading the continuous improvement initiative.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of Quality Control and/or Assurance experience required. Lab or manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Degree in Science or Engineering, strong understanding of Quality Management Systems
- 2-3 years of proven leadership experience in developing, selling and implementing quality assurance programs
- Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, lean concepts, quality, and plant engineering.
- Demonstrated success in project management and facilitation skills
- General quality program and ISO 9000 knowledgeability and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills are required, including Word, Excel, presentation software and project tracking software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Developing & implementing QA policies and controlling document versions.
- Auditing contract manufacturers and contract manufacturing operations, and maintaining a list of audits generated CAPAs to manage on an on-going basis
- Creation of contract manufacturing site technical portal including, but not limited to, toll manual creation, updates, training and reviews as well as pre-start up campaign reviews.
- Facilitating incident investigations and root cause analysis for non-conformances as well as data analytics of the non-conformance database.
- Interfacing with labs for policies and QC processes and scale-ups
- Ensures QA compliance with all standards and ensure all areas are inspection ready.
- Leading assigned projects to optimize operation, improve quality, and reduce COGS through Process Engineering and/or Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Supporting the implementation and maintaining ISO 9000, serving as ISO documentation administrator, serving as ISO 9000 Internal auditor, and maintaining relationship and contract with ISO registrar.
