JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Corporate Paralegal role will involve managing corporate governance processes and contractual operations, agreement drafting, and ensuring record-keeping and compliance.  This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a global organization, contribute to strategic legal initiatives, and play a key role in upholding corporate excellence

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide comprehensive support for the daily operations of the corporate legal department.
  • Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of contracts, including Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Leverage contract management systems to streamline and maintain efficient contract handling processes.
  • Draft and prepare initial versions of contracts, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and legal requirements.
  • File, organize, and maintain critical corporate and legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulations across jurisdictions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal documents and governance activities.
  • Address and resolve inquiries or issues related to contracts and governance matters.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of new contract management systems as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience as a Paralegal (preferably within the Chemicals or Life Science sectors or a similar industry).
  • Deep understanding of corporate governance frameworks, principles, and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in contract management, with a proven ability to manage complex and high-volume contractual workflows.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting contracts with attention to legal implications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legal documents and assess risks effectively.
  • Exceptional knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and best practices.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field (preferred).
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
