JOB SUMMARY


The State Regulatory Manager is responsible for obtaining the state registrations and maintaining marketability of assigned product lines. Reporting to Region Regulatory Head, North America, the State Regulatory Manager is responsible for new product submissions, product renewals, label amendment changes, state dossier submissions, sales & marketing enablement, and other state regulatory activities, along with professional interaction with the state and/or local regulatory authorities, trade associations, grower groups, customers and industrial partners as required by job function.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan & perform activities leading to successful new product submissions, product renewals, label amendment changes for assigned states & product lines within the US.
  • Coordinate seamlessly across Federal Regulatory Managers and business stakeholders to ensure the EPA and market labels, SDS, submission forms, payment, etc. is made for successful submissions to the states.
  • Obtain timely state level regulatory approvals, tracks submission status closely, and keeps business teams updated on the progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and record-keeping requirements are met for the assigned states & product lines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives of UPL state regulatory processes & systems.
  • Track important regulatory developments at the state level & raises awareness of potential impact to UPL product timelines
  • Represent UPL in key industry groups and influence outcomes on key issues to benefit both the industry and UPL. Develop and maintain vital relationships by interacting with state regulatory agencies, trade organizations, grower groups, industry task forces, and trade associations to effectively communicate the Company’s regulatory concerns and objectives

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Ideal candidate will possess at least a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (ideally within a scientific discipline) with approximately 5 or more years’ direct hands-on industry experience in the US State Regulatory matters.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of widely used State submission tools & State portals
  • Demonstrated ability to work within team environment and work independently to accomplish tasks.
  • Candidates with experience in both Federal and State regulatory responsibilities are encouraged to apply.
  • Highly developed written, oral and presentation skills; thrives to grow and develop in fast-paced dynamic environment; excellent interpersonal & communication skills and ability to operate effectively within a highly matrixed organization and regulated business environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
