Role Summary
To control the receipt of Finished goods and Raw materials. To receive, control and despatch stock. Operate a high reach.
Role Responsibilities
Receiving:
- Receive delivery vehicle
- Check delivery note, quantities, batch number and appearance
- Instruct Forklift Operator on destination of stock
- Handle and manage incoming goods and materials received
- Perform and execute unloading and unpacking of goods received from
- Toller’s/Depots/Suppliers and plants
- Inspect and verify the condition of goods received
- Count and verify received goods
- Reconcile goods received against invoices/delivery notes
- Communicate discrepancies in goods received to the Supervisor or Manager
- Ensure that all necessary documents are endorsed if any discrepancies
- Do random weighing of pallets on scale provided to check if tonnage is correct
- Do quality inspections on goods
- Fill in a goods received note and hands over to the
- Inventory clerk, together with all supporting documents received from the said load to process the GRN
- Allocate stock in the warehouse to the correct bins as per Haz compliance
- Ensure warehouse are always packed according to FEFO
Despatch
- Ensure all vehicles are Haz compliance checked before loading
- Handle and manage outgoing goods and materials despatched
- Perform and execute loading and packing of goods to Toller’s/Depots/Suppliers and Customers
- Inspect and verify the condition of goods Despatched.
- Count and verify despatched goods
- Reconcile goods despatched against invoices/delivery notes/iscala transfer document
- Communicate discrepancies in goods to the Supervisor or Manager
- Ensure that all necessary documents are endorsed if any discrepancies
- Do random weighing of pallets on scale provided to check if tonnage is correct
- Do quality inspections on goods
- Do check on all pickings picked by FLT operators, before handing it back to the office for processing
- Ensure all discrepancies with pickings are resolved before clients arrive
- Drive the Forklift to assist in put away or load of vehicles
General Duties
- Assist with month-end stock take/weekly cycle counts
- Assist with Shelve life and Warehouse Utilization reports weekly
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Grade 12
- Inventory Diploma or Degree – added advantage
- FLT Licence
- High Reach Licence – added advantage
- Excellent MS Office knowledge, especially Excel
- 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
