The Advanta Seeds Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for growing and managing the brand via marketing and communications strategies.  In this position, you are expected to create demand for Advanta Seed products with distributors, dealers, and growers.  As the marcom manager, you will leverage your skills and experience to create content across various channels (digital, social, print) for our sorghum, forage and corn portfolio. This role will report to the Sales and Marketing Director.

 

The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Communications Manager are to:
•    Ensure marketing messaging aligns with Advanta seeds business objectives.
•    Advise and create communication strategies for both internal and external audiences.
•    Create integrated marketing campaigns, amplify brand messaging
•    Focus on product positionings and differentiation, tailor messaging to fit needs of our respective markets
•    Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers/Representatives, and Technology Development to create educational content across various platforms for our channel partners and grower customers.
•    Manage and enforce brand guidelines
•    Gather, aggregate, and highlight effectiveness of marketing campaigns and google analytics (including impressions, click thru rates ,etc)  to share with leadership team.
•    Track and manage marketing budget, serve as liaison between Advanta and vendors.
•    Construct press releases, organize framework of technical bulletins to be externally released
•    Create and design co-promotional content with key partners.
•    Prioritize industry and media partnerships to leadership team for yearly evaluations.
•    Travel approximately 20%.
 
Required qualifications:
•    Substantial experience in marketing communications, brand management.
•    Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral, and written).
•    Demonstrated initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results.
•    Proficiency in managing and strategizing social media platform engagement.
•    Proven ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced and matrixed environment.
•    Advanced level of computer and presentation skills (proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, Canva).
•    Demonstrated ability to analyze data to influence decisions.
•    Proven interest in supporting collaboration and teamwork.
 
Preferred qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business management or similar field
•    Five  (5+) years of experience in marketing communications or brand management. 
 
Physical Requirements:
•    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•    Must be able to travel.
