A "Operations Manager" in a GBS (Global Business Services) context is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end Supply Chain Management (SCM), Logistics, and Procurement functions within a GCC setup at Columbia. Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the center, leading teams, and driving improvements in processes and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Leadership:
• Develop and implement global procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes including vendor selection, onboarding, contract negotiation, and compliance.
• Establish vendor management policies, SOPs, and control frameworks.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage risk mitigation strategies.
• Drive cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships.
Logistics & Supply Chain Operations:
• Oversee logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Optimize supply chain networks for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
• Implement global logistics standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, and commercial teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
Compliance and Regulatory:
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations.
• Maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Staying up to date on changes to regulations and policies.
Stakeholder Management:
• Liaising with headquarters or regional management.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Communicating effectively with all relevant parties.
Strategic Planning:
• Contributing to the development of strategic plans for the Columbia location.
• Implementing and executing strategic initiatives.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience of handling Service Delivery
• Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and English
Qualifications:
Any Graduate or master’s degree or professional certification in Finance or Accounting.
