Description:
1. Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of fixed assets. This includes SAP entries, auxiliary controls, and the management of fixed assets within the company. 2. Build relationships with tax authorities, auditors, lawyers, and the internal team to stay informed and prepared for any requirements from the authorities and avoid tax contingencies. 3. Support the Finance Department in completing business transactions for inclusion in the accounting process, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) through the review of financial statements, audits of provided information, closing balances, payments and provisions, accounts payable transactions, monthly accruals, reclassifications, general account analysis, and maintaining and controlling the general ledger and business transactions. 4. Ensure strict compliance with company policies and controls, analyze data metrics, and supervise procedures and control systems to meet goals, UPL financial requirements, and tax regulations for each jurisdiction. 5. Preparation and execution of the various audits applicable to the entity. 6. Verify customer and supplier invoices through the review and maintenance of accountability forms, the general ledger, and other financial records. Also, maintain the accounting records for all import, production, and other expenses to ensure tax compliance and analyze data related to payments due. 7. Verify taxes and other deductions and file tax returns, prepare reports for the tax department, and support auditors with tax information to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
