Purpose of the Role

Is responsible for the supporting and executing Corn Pathology activities under the guidance of Corn Pathologist.

Position: Research Associate- Corn Pathology

Location: Bangalore

Reporting: Junior Pathologist

Qualifications: Masters in Agriculture Science with specialization in Plant Pathology

Experience: Minimum of one year related experience in Corn Pathology

Major Job Responsibilities

Job Description- Research Associate-Corn Pathology

Strategic Deliverables:

1. Artificial inoculation of NCLB, Diplodia Ear Rot, Late Wilt, Fusarium Stalk Rot, DM and BLSB
2. Inoculum preparation of NCLB, Diplodia Ear Rot, Late Wilt, Fusarium Stalk Rot and BLSB
3. Storage and maintenance of disease samples and inoculum
4. Disease data collection in artificial screening nurseries and disease hotspot locations
5. Disease data collection in breeding nurseries
6. Follow safety protocols in lab and field and maintain lab hygiene

Operational Deliverables:

Execution of Corn pathology trials both hotspots & artificial screening as per Breeder requirement. Lab maintenance, Compliance & Statutory management.

People Management:

            Imparting training & development on technical knowhow to Field staff.
