Arysta Lifescience Cameroon is a subsidiary of the global group UPL. The company has been involved in the importation and distribution of agrochemicals products, spraying and micro drip irrigation equipment as well as providing its valued partners with technical support and training on safe handling and use of agrochemicals.

The technical sales engineer responsibilities include presenting our products and services to potential clients, identifying specific consumer characteristics, and recommending ways to promote and sell our products.
Ultimately, will help us grow our customer base and establish our reputation in assigned region focusing on UPL goals.
This role is responsible of Arysta Lifescience Cameroun's activities in the North and Far North regions of Cameroon. Position is based in Garoua.
Responsibility
- Commercial
- Development of the customer portfolio in the North and Far North of Cameroon
- Increase our seed market share in the North and Far North of Cameroon
- Manage relationships with Distributors and Retailers
- Deliver on growth expectations in line with sales targets.
- Set distributor targets and manage recievables
- Forecasting
- Maintain Forecast by Customer and tracking forecast accuracy.
- Forecast vs. Budget alignment of territory.
- Marketing
- Implementation of agreed Marketing Plans
- Marketing Intelligence (Interact with distributors, agents and farmers, getting information about competition and market)
- People
- Manage relationships with distributor, sales representatives
- Be the interface between CNPC-C, SODECOTON and Arysta/UPL Cameroon
- Be the interface between research institutions and other administrations in the area with Arysta LifeScience Cameroon
- Sales
- Deliver Quarterly and Annual Territory Sales
- Analysis and tracking of sales vs. budget.
- Sales and Distribution Strategy for the territory
- Distributor Stock Management
- Technical
- Identify high value product or label gaps in the market and help develop Business cases for development.
- Technical support (technical training of distributor agents, agent/farm visits, field visits and farmer days)
- Manage complaints handling and liaison with Technical Department
Profile
BSC/master’s in agriculture with min 5 years’ experience in agrochemical sales/Nature Conservation/ Horticultural sales/technical/marketing/government and municipal tender fields.
The candidate must have a valid driver's license and been able to speak Foufoulbé
Performance Criteria
- Good understanding of agricultural problems, farming practices and agricultural sectors in the North and Far North areas of Cameroon
- Have in-depth knowledge of seeds and plant protection products
- Strong ability to work with farmer organizations and develop collaborations
Technical Skills
- Excellent communication and ability to convey technical knowledge
- Sense of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit to offer solutions adapted to the needs of farmers
- Good professional network in the agricultural sector
