Role Summary

 

Formulation of different AI whilst adhering to UPL BOM procedures, handling of dangerous goods including flammables and hazardous, maintain accuracy and efficiency of processes - OEE, CCP, RFT, SHEQ,5S, yields attainment and deliver daily production targets as per scheduled daily plan.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Operate and monitor designated equipment and machinery, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Record production data accurately, including quantities, quality checks, and equipment status.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational effectiveness, including PvA, OEE, CCP, RFT, Production yields, Inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor operational issues in collaboration with the Team Leader or Maintenance team.
  • Ensure quality assurance in line with UPL standards and oversee Line operator’s assigned to the relevant work centre , activities, optimise, trouble shoot and mentor.
  • Ensure full participation and adherence to all SHEQ and 5S Standards in work area.
  • Permit issue inclusive of planned work risk assessment .
  • Adherence to formulating Sampling procedure as per batch sheet.
  • Ensure required raw material requested and prepared / stagged as per formulating batch sheet.

  • Forklifts operate (Only Licenced operator is permissible to operate)
  • Packing of finished goods AI’s as per production (SOP)
  • Responsible for operating semi-automated filling machine and ensure correct GHs labelling of product from the packing lines

 

First line maintenance

  • Transfer Flexible lines stripping for washing / Change overs
  • Filter pot stripping for washing
  • Online Y- strainer stripping for cleaning
  • Breaking of accessible vacuum lines for product change over.
  • Bag house cleaning
  • Clearing of system blockages
  • Assist maintenance with lines stripping during breakdown and change overs

Technical Requirements:

 

  • Matric as minimum
  • 3 month on the job training
  • 3 years plant operations
  • Minimum Level 1: Chemical Operations
