Job Summary: UPL is in search of an experienced and dynamic Global Marketing Communications (MarCom) Manager to lead global communication projects and engage with the North America Region (United States & Canada) on driving marketing communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a balanced mix of strategic vision, proven MarCom expertise, and a passion for brand and communication excellence.  This role will be critical in shaping UPL’s brand image both globally and at North America levels, promoting products and solutions, and driving engagement with customers in the agriculture industry through strategic communication initiatives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global marketing communication strategies, tailored to global projects and to support North America regional objectives.
  • Oversee UPL Corporation’s (Corp) brand management in the region, ensuring alignment with global standards. Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels. Manage the brand identity, including logos, taglines, and visual elements, to maintain brand integrity and recognition.
  • Manage external communications to enhance UPL’s public profile - develop engaging content that effectively communicates the value of our brand on a global and regional scale.
    • Strategically enhance UPL Corp's reputation by supporting the global team with corporate communication and developing engaging regional content for press releases, media distribution, and cultivating relationships with media partners.
    • Lead the communication aspects of selected global and regional marcom projects (including digital), serving as a point of contact for cross-functional teams and ensuring timely and consistent delivery of materials.
    • Develop, copy-edit, produce, and maintain content, including product material, publication articles, news releases, topic briefs, slide deck presentations, proposals/abstracts, podcasts, blogs, and related materials.
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives, including social media marketing, email campaigns, and search engine optimization, to increase brand visibility, engage with customers, and generate leads.
  • Manage creation of marketing collaterals, such as brochures, presentations, videos, and website content, to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions to target audiences.
  • Manage Media relations, building strong connections with journalists, influencers, and community leaders.
  • Plan and execute events and sponsorships to elevate brand presence and meet goals.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust communication strategies accordingly to maintain UPL Corp's competitive edge. Construct a program to measure and report on the effectiveness of our communication efforts.
  • Manage global project budgets and oversee the regional marketing communications budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI on marketing initiatives.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio and functional heads, technical specialists, marketing, sales, and external agencies.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields of Marketing, Communications, or relevant areas.
  • Over ten years of rich experience in roles centring around Marketing Communications, particularly within global organizations. Experience in the Crop Protection, Agriculture related industries is preferred.
  • Proficiency in varied communication mediums, including digital platforms.
  • Working knowledge of contemporary communication tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional oral and written skills with a focus on clarity, simplicity, and rigorous attention to details.
  • Proven record in crafting compelling communication strategies and delivering superior brand reputation enhancements.
  • Adept at collaborating across functions to refine and articulate communication strategies that resonate with our audiences.
  • Strong commercial understanding to ensure that communication outputs align effectively with industry trends.
  • Proven track record of orchestrating cross-functional teams and coaching professionals to deliver on complex communication strategies.
  • Ability to multitask without losing focus on overarching goals, ensuring that priorities are effectively balanced.
