Controlling & Finance Analyst, DACH (m/w/d)
Location: Germany, Huerth (hybrid)
Job Description:
- Act as Finance Business Partner for the UPL Deutschland commercial team
- Drive the annual budget process/business planning work with focus on commercial priorities, activities and KPIs for the DACH region including short-, mid- and long-term local targets
- Provide analysis and deliver insights that links financial reports to business strategies to support revenue growth
- Work closely with the regional team on the performance review package and support UPL Deutschland management team during monthly business reviews
- Focus on UPL Deutschland P&L and proactively work on improving overall profitability development for the business.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts (top- and bottom line) for the DACH region
- Support the sales department in all matters finance including semi-annual and annual sales reports, actual vs targets
- Support UPL Deutschland compliance with relevant local requirements
- Prepare the cost centre reports and work closely with CC holders to track the spend versus budgeted figures
- Participate in the month-end/ quarter-end/ year-end closing process and audits for UPL Deutschland – ensure quality and consistency in the financial numbers
Qualifications and Skills:
- Successfully completed business degree in finance, business, accounting, controlling, or comparable commercial training
- 3+ years of professional experience in finance/business/accounting
- Familiar with bookkeeping and accounting according to HGB and knowledge of accounting principles as well as familiar with period close activities
- Experience in financial and commercial analysis, financial planning and analysis, financial forecasting and annual business planning
- Confident in dealing with profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and leadership teams and demonstrated ability to explain complex issues in a way that is appropriate for the target group
- Ability to juggle multiple requests and tasks at one time
- Demonstrated good IT skills especially confident with Excel and knows or wants to acquire knowledge of working with databases e.g. BW
- Fluent written and spoken German and advanced English
