Description: 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

    • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems (motors, transformers, MCC panels, VFDs, switchgear, UPS, etc.).
    • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimize downtime.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance activities.

  2. Project Execution

    • Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical equipment.
    • Assist in energy efficiency projects and electrical system upgrades.

  3. Compliance & Documentation

    • Maintain records of electrical inspections, breakdowns, and maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (IE Rules, IS standards, and local regulations).

  4. Safety & Reliability

    • Implement electrical safety practices and participate in audits.
    • Conduct risk assessments for electrical systems and recommend improvements.

  5. Coordination

    • Work closely with operations, instrumentation, and mechanical teams for integrated plant reliability.
    • Liaise with vendors and contractors for specialized electrical work.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–7 years in electrical maintenance in chemical/petrochemical/manufacturing plants.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of HT/LT systems, circuit breakers, relays, PLC basics.
    • Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and flameproof equipment.
    • Understanding of energy management and electrical safety standards.
  • Soft Skills: Problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
