Team Leader - Mechanical

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance & Reliability:

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

• Project & Design Support:

  • Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and ensure compliance with plant standards.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies and risk assessments for mechanical systems.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance and reliability improvements.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost optimization in mechanical systems.
  • Support root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 3–7 years in maintenance or project engineering in a chemical/petrochemical plant.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, and mechanical seals.
  • Familiarity with ASME, API, and other relevant standards.
  • Proficiency in SAP/CMMS for maintenance planning.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
