Reporting to the regional IT Director the role is responsible for supporting and enhancing the current company IT infrastructure and communications. This includes, but not limited to data centers, WAN, LAN, telecom, smart phones, tablets, telepresence, service desk, servers, storage, network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewall etc), desktop, virtualization, and application delivery platforms. He/she will work closely with global infrastructure, application, and program management teams to implement future infrastructure enhancements in the region.  The role will have an opportunity to contribute significantly to regional projects. He/She will actively participate in and enforce global standards including the implementation of security and GRC measures.

The successful candidate will be solution and service oriented and serve as a liaison with outside vendors, internal customers, and the UPL Global IT Team.  This position is located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Project Management and Implementation
    • Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by identifying the needs and delivering projects within identified timelines and budget for the project.
    • Support global projects as needed, to include testing, quality assurance, and leading local implementation
    • Support business strategic plans by researching and recommending information technology solutions and procedures that support company long term objectives
  • Infrastructure maintenance
    • Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands as per guidelines
    • Maintain & monitor LAN, Phone system, Access Control and any critical site systems
    • Responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to security policies, entitlement reviews, and user provisioning methodologies. Ensure Antivirus, patches, backups are regularly monitored and kept up to date for all end user machines and servers.
    • Set up of new servers as needed; troubleshooting issues on servers whenever required
    • Maintain inventory of all IT assets, including services, hardware, software & applications for sites within responsibility.
    • Ensure all software’s essential on end user machines are updated and active all the time.
  • Technical Service
    • Function as a liaison between IT and Business Stakeholders / Users.
    • Ensure high level of customer service and support by establishing and enforcing organization standards
    • Identify and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements, including configuration of new and replacement equipment following the Global IT process and policies
    • Setup and deployment of laptops, cellphones, etc. for new / existing users.
    • Regularly monitor and update the ticketing system and the project management system. Ensure ticket resolution within SLA.
    • Drive and support security / GRC initiatives within the organization
    • Ensure hardware and software usage are up to date and as per Enterprise Architecture and IT procedures and guidelines.


  • Training
    • Create and facilitate training for end users on new and existing systems and tools as required
    • Onboarding of new users members.
    • Keeping all IT relevant documentation and records updated.


  • Vendor management
    • Coordinate with vendors/service providers when their services are required.
    • Ensure timely services and delivery from vendors.
    • Ensure timely submission of the invoices and payments to the vendors.


Education and/or Experience  

    • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in related area (ex. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems). 7+ years of experience in Information Technology
    • Years of Related Experience (Min.): 5+ years infrastructure work experience required; with a global company preferred in similar role.
    • Language:  fluent English is essential
    • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) experience – Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment, and Change/Configuration Management.
    • Strong technical expertise required.  Experience with Active Directory, Virtualization (VMWare and Hyper-V), and Networking is required. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • ITIL Foundations Certified
    • Microsoft and CCNA Certified
    • SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange & ActiveSync, Office 365 experience preferred.
    • Windows PowerShell or equivalent scripting language.
    • Experience with Audio/Visual (AV), VOIP, and Phone systems.
