JOB Summary: The Inventory and Demand Planner will be responsible for the demand planning, inventory planning and S&OP functions within the SCM North American team. This includes leading the annual budget process for the SCM North American team, preparing and analyzing inventory projections and working with SCM and other functional groups to comprehensively report on the SCM portion of the S&OP, MBR, and MIS processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demand Planning
- Lead the annual budget process for SCM in North America.
- Track supply vs. budget/allocation monthly for both forecast and supply plan as a part of the S&OP cycle.
- Track and document the impact of forecast changes to budget supply targets as well as inventory impacts.
- Analyze monthly affiliate demand forecast in terms of changes, synchronization with orders, production, etc.
- Track monthly progress on sales from a volume perspective and communicate major deviations from forecast in advance.
- Lead the discussion on projecting order shipment for Compass reporting.
Inventory Planning
- Prepare and analyze monthly inventory projection for each new forecast as part of the S&OP cycle.
- Work with Sales, Marketing, and Planners to achieve inventory value targets.
- Work with Product Managers to align on inventory norm targets for each product (value and forward coverage).
- Prepare monthly GSOP and MBR slides for inventory performance.
- Work with other functional groups to identify and reduce ageing, blocked and excess inventory.
- Track and document the impact of forecast changes to budget supply targets as well as inventory impacts.
- Prepare monthly internal North American SCM MIS.
Supply Planning
- Lead the monthly Supply Review calls with SCM and Commercial business.
- Create monthly MPS files and reports.
- Other opportunities as they arise.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- SAP Experience preferred
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Powerpoint)
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize task appropriately
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present professionally via phone and written communication methods.
- Works well within a team environment
