SUMMARY: The Regulatory Compliance and Product Safety Specialist provides compliance and product safety support to Sr. Regulatory Manger, Compliance and Product Safety regarding transportation regulations and the generation and issuing of Safety Data sheets for all UPL NA Inc. and Decco North America products and R&D materials. 



  • Provides support to internal and external customers regarding domestic and international transportation regulations for North America (NAM) products.
  • Supports the generation, updating and issuance of Safety Data Sheets for all UPL NAM R&D Materials and Products and for Decco North American products.
  • Maintains the automated transportation training logs related to UPLNAM HAZMAT personnel.
  • Maintains the Index of Adverse Allegation Incidents for electronic access.
  • Supports the maintenance of the internal SDS platform for products and raw materials
  • Scans documents for electronic access and archiving.
  • Attends training sessions to keep updated on regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemistry, Environmental Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or related major OR at least a minimum of 2 years of experience with OSHA HAZCOM regulations and compliance management and transportation regulations needed.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the OSHA HAZCOM, GHS requirements and the Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret governmental regulations.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently.
