Position Summary: The Tax Specialist operates as a key member of the UPL NAM Tax Department, under the supervision of the Tax Director and a close working relationship with the Tax Advisory Firms supporting UPL NA Inc. This position will be given an opportunity to engage with various cross functional departments, including Management, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, Accounting, HR and IT. The experience and knowledge of the UPL NAM Finance Team, UPL NAM Functional Teams and Advisors, provide the Tax Specialist opportunities to strengthen their tax, accounting, and analytical skills to attain valuable experience within the Company. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Needs of Tax Specialist Advisors, such as EY and PWC
  • Support and coordinate tax audits
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger
  • Prepare all tax papers in regular basis and handle all information data requests
  • Support HR team with ensuring compliance with Payroll Tax, including imputed income assessments and tax filings in all states


Experience/Skills/Specific Knowledge/Education:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of US GAAP; familiar with IFRS
  • Proficiency with use of MS Office tools, ERP System; Advance Excel and SAP experience required
  • Good planning and organizational skills; Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited 4-year university
