Job Summary:   

Perform routine physical property and analytical testing of commercial formulations using standard test methods. Perform analysis of pesticide formulations using HPLC and GC methodology in support of development, regulatory, and storage stability programs.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Production Support:

80%

  • Perform analysis of commercial formulations in accordance with lab & ISO 9001 standards.
  • Perform physical testing on commercial formulations in accordance with lab testing standards.
  • Report testing results to supervisor and production team.
  • Maintain records and data entry into excel/SAP tracking programs
  • Work closely with and communicate with other lab associates to complete daily activities efficiently.

Verification of Product Quality:

10%

  • Maintaining sample retain program. Evaluation of retain samples.
  • Properly store specimens for short term and long-term storage; retrieve and re-file samples for testing.
  • Maintaining sample retain program. Evaluation of retain samples.
  • Analysis of production and field complaints.
  • Root cause failure investigations.

Other Duties:

  • Database administration, as needed
  • Troubleshoot issues with new and existing formulations.
  • Evaluate field complaints.
  • Performs routine instrument maintenance.
  • Performs basic instrument troubleshooting.
  • Assist laboratory personnel in cleaning duties per policy/regulations.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards in compliance with corporate and applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Complete all required annual trainings in a timely manner.
  • Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum requirement is two years of university chemistry laboratory classes. BS in Chemistry is

preferred. Persons with a BS degree in related sciences, or an Associate’s degree with relevant

experience may be acceptable.

  • Relevant industry analytical experience is desired.
  • Strong preference will be given to individuals with working knowledge of chromatographic instrumentation and techniques experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with safe laboratory practices.
  • Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
