JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to improve asset reliability through the elimination of repetitive failures, technical support of the facilities and maintenance functions, and effectively managing the Asset Life Cycle process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain frequent review of site maintenance metrics to assess maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
  • Investigate equipment failures by utilizing Root Cause Analysis tools such as 5-WHY to drive corrective actions
  • Support maintenance personnel on troubleshooting of formulation and packaging equipment
  • Work with the Plant Facilities Manager to establish equipment maintenance schedules and activities
  • Evaluate and set up critical spare parts needed in inventory
  • Standardize parts to reduce parts inventory
  • Subject Matter Expert of process and packaging equipment
  • Establish the MOC (Management of Change) protocol
  • Work closely with the plant trainer to create/update equipment operating SOP's
  • Work closely with the facilities manager to create/update the equipment preventive maintenance routine
  • Participate in departmental meetings 
  • Track and analyze equipment history
  • Establish maintenance work order system

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience working in engineering
  • Must have a working knowledge of process/packaging equipment
  • Good Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Ability to analyze operational process issues and automation challenges to recommend/initiate appropriate corrective and preventative actions
  • Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities
  • Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent supervisory, collaborative, and teambuilding skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint)
