POSITION PURPOSE

The Regional Sales Manager will oversee and drive sales activities within a designated geographical region, ensuring the attainment of sales targets and market penetration in the agricultural sector. This role requires strategic planning, leadership, and a strong understanding of the agricultural market dynamics.

 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with UPL’s objectives to maximize revenue and market share in the agricultural sector.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team within the region.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, agricultural associations, and industry stakeholders to foster business growth.
  • Address customer concerns, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs regularly, preparing and presenting reports on regional sales performance to senior management.
  • Implement corrective measures and strategies to achieve or surpass sales goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential markets within the region to expand the UPL’s product portfolio offerings.
  • Develop and implement plans to penetrate new markets and increase the UPL’s market share.
