POSITION PURPOSE

The National Sales Manager will oversee and drive sales activities within country, ensuring the attainment of sales targets and market penetration in the agricultural sector. This role requires strategic planning, leadership, and a strong understanding of the agricultural market dynamics.

 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with UPL’s objectives to maximize revenue and market share in the agricultural sector.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team within the region.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, agricultural associations, and industry stakeholders to foster business growth.
  • Address customer concerns, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs regularly, preparing and presenting reports on regional sales performance to senior management.
  • Implement corrective measures and strategies to achieve or surpass sales goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential markets within the region to expand the UPL’s product portfolio offerings.
  • Develop and implement plans to penetrate new markets and increase the UPL’s market share.
