Description:
- Steer end-to-end procurement process management, including strategy development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Direct UPL's procurement strategy for research and development service partnerships
- Oversee the strategic selection and management of external partners for comprehensive R&D activities, including new discovery initiatives, pre-clinical assessments, laboratory and field evaluations, and clinical trials.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost savings, cash flow and efficiency
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, discount, rebates and service levels.
- End-to-End procurement excellence through strategic process leadership, vendor relationship development, and cross-functional collaboration with legal, R&D (regulatory, field R&D, R&D Chemistry) and project teams both locally and globally, while optimizing costs and ensuring financial governance.
- Implement and maintain procurement systems and databases
- Responsible for project management, project de-risking, procurement strategy development, operations, and governance management with global international CROs.
- Lead negotiations by conducting reverse auctions, direct negotiations, technical proposal reviews, and commercial gap analysis.
