Description:

Steer end-to-end procurement process management, including strategy development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Direct UPL's procurement strategy for research and development service partnerships
Oversee the strategic selection and management of external partners for comprehensive R&D activities, including new discovery initiatives, pre-clinical assessments, laboratory and field evaluations, and clinical trials.
Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost savings, cash flow and efficiency
Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, discount, rebates and service levels.
End-to-End procurement excellence through strategic process leadership, vendor relationship development, and cross-functional collaboration with legal, R&D (regulatory, field R&D, R&D Chemistry) and project teams both locally and globally, while optimizing costs and ensuring financial governance.
Implement and maintain procurement systems and databases
Responsible for project management, project de-risking, procurement strategy development, operations, and governance management with global international CROs.
Lead negotiations by conducting reverse auctions, direct negotiations, technical proposal reviews, and commercial gap analysis.
