JOb Responsibilities: This role is  multi-faceted being proactive in ensuring that UPL IT Infrastructure is secure, protected and up to date in the face of known and emerging cyber threats and ‘fit for purpose’, contributing to resolution (and avoidance) to issues and problems affecting the IT Infrastructure, performance and availability, undertaking an advisory role within the IT Service Delivery team providing advice, guidance in supports of its IT Infrastructure, Virtual Data Centre environment and WAN/LAN communication, and contributing to/leading on IT Infrastructure design, implementations and changes. Key activities include:

  • Develop and execute IT infrastructure security policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Define Strategy for Infrastructure Security tools like DLP, Encryption, Antivirus, Firewalls & Advance threat prevention etc. Architecture, design, implementation & Support
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scanning to identify and assess potential security threats and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, among others.
  • Monitor the security infrastructure continuously to identify and respond to security events promptly.
  • Conduct security awareness training and education programs for employees across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as IT, engineering, and operations to understand business strategies and ensure security measures are aligned to protect critical assets.
  • Manage security incidents and collaborate with internal and external parties to contain and resolve issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats, trends, and best practices and recommend proactive measures to enhance infrastructure security.
  • Review and make recommendations to provide adequate levels of IT security in line with best industry practice and/or in response to new cyber threats.
  • Act as a ‘point of technical expertise’ supporting IT Service Support Staff in all matters relating to IT Infrastructure, Data Centre, and WAN/LAN.
  • Ensure security best practices are identified and integrated into all facets of the project including network, system designs/configuration, and implementations.
  • Architect security controls and assist in implementing the same based on Security Policies and procedures.
