Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Trainee to join our R&D Chemistry team. This role is ideal for recent graduates in Chemistry or related fields who are passionate about scientific research and eager to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. You will assist in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and supporting the development of new chemical products and formulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and executing laboratory experiments under supervision.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for testing.
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data accurately.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis).
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and lab cleanliness.
- Support senior chemists in ongoing research and product development projects.
- Document procedures, observations, and results in lab notebooks or digital systems.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on research progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques such as titration, chromatography, and spectroscopy.
- Familiarity with chemical safety standards and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a research environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Internship or academic project experience in a chemistry lab.
- Exposure to formulation development or analytical method development.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools or software (e.g., Excel, ChemDraw, Origin).
