Purpose of the Role:
The position will cater to the increasing requests for patent check (Pre-screening/ FTO/ Landscape/ Combination Portfolio) and will assist the team to perform thorough patent check for advancing projects that are bound by strict timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct prior art search to identify novelty, and inventive step
- Support R&D with literature as and when required and engage into discussion
- Providing technical support for office actions/patent litigation related activities in terms of searching.
- To conduct searches for new technology projects, compile, collate information, prepare report
- Freedom to operate analysis; Patent searches using various databases
- Preparation of patent landscape
- Infringement analysis of formulation/recipe proposed by R & D and review of critical patents.
- Pre-screening patent report
- Identify blocking patents
- Design IP strategy for blocking patents
- Identify patent filing opportunity
Qualification:
- MSc in Org Chemistry
- 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge about Search databases, patent office searches, relevant searches in Google and basic knowledge in IPR
- Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Law & Practice (Preferred)
- Understanding of the chemical/agrochemical business (Preferred)
