Job Summary: The purpose of the role is to lead the business and manage sales for specific categories and achieve the gross profit target to support the growth of Speciality chemicals business unit of UPL Limited. This would be a client facing role. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for managing sales responsibility of Speciality Chemical International Business, including sales strategy, plan, and implementation to achieve Speciality Chemical Business Unit’s objective to grow exponentially. S/he will ensure short, mid, and long-term volume and profitability targets are achieved and required resources are in place.



Job Responsibilities:


  • Manage sales growth in line with company objectives                             
  • Achieve the annual objectives – Sales, Receivables and Gross Contribution. Development and achievement of annual operating plan and budgets, in terms of revenue, EBITDA and market share.                                 
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the profitability and broaden the product base of the business.
  • Handle key accounts, maintain good business relations with them and acquire new customers.
  • Achieve the gross profit targets for the assigned categories.
  • Devise and Implement Sales Strategy for different products across regions to increase sales.
  • Manage the existing suppliers and add new suppliers for the related categories.
  • Handle cross selling of existing products to new customers and new products to existing customers.
  • Conduct inventory planning for the supplier specific products after understanding the lead time.
  • Lead and coach the team to manage the team motivation and productivity.
  • Manage the finance related processes, documentation & payment terms with the customers of assigned categories.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customers’ issues/queries to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Assists in the development and launching of new products
  • Leverages the organization’s relationship with existing institutional accounts by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives.                                             
  • Stay up to date on the market trends and Intelligence of various regions.



  • Postgraduate with an MBA, Chemistry Background (preferable)
  • 15+ years of Sales & Marketing experience
  • Knowledge of B2B Sales in Chemical Industry
  • Exposure to International Sales
  • Experience of working with teams in a fast paced, high-growth focused, dynamic and a hands-on work environment.
  • Have a strong solution focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Team player with an energetic, can-do personality, capable of building strong internal and intercompany relationships is crucial
  • High comfort level working with senior Indian and International executives.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
