Job Title : Technical Development Assistant: Southern Africa

Location : Pretoria

 

Job Summary
The purpose of this role would be to provide a supportive role to the Technical & Development Department on a day-to-day basis.
This includes:

  1. Decanting and labelling of experimental products for the whole R&D team.

  2. Arranging trial products and collecting from supplier companies.

  3. Assisting Dev. Leads with Import Permits and product forecasting for future developments based on seasonal needs.

  4. Sending samples to CRO’s based on trial protocol requirements.

  5. Liasing with CRO’s on quotes, PO creation, invoicing, trial progress, trial reports & trial visits with & without Dev. Leads – assist with tracking based on protocol.

  6. Visit trials when required to track progress for the whole R&D team as we can’t be present all the time.

  7. Be present when harvesting selected trials.

  8. Basic trial protocol writing & data summarising   

  9. Conduct ad hoc trial work for the team.

  10. Label updates/amendments/corrections – constantly amend labels for errors

 

The candidate must be capable of conducting advanced agrochemical related research for literature review purposes.

 

Maintain the R&D Experimental Product Facility with sufficient essential product.

Minimum Qualifications

 

 

  • BSc degree in Agricultural or Natural Sciences. A post-graduate degree would be an advantage.

  • Experience in agrochemical industry.

  • CropLife Basic Crop Protection Certificate would be an advantage.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage activities within set timelines.

  • Ability to work independently, but maintain a high level of accuracy and meticulous preciseness especially with written tasks.
