JOB DESCRIPTION TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

 

 

Job Title :Technical Specialist

 

Main mission

 

Provide technical support to two National Distributor Accounts

Provide technical support across a designated region

Lead the technical positioning for a designated portfolio of products

 

Scope

 

Countries covered: Designated region within the UK

 

Objectives:

Lead the technical collaboration with specific distributor accounts at a national level to ensure they are fully briefed on all UPL products aligned with the overall market strategy.

Work closely with the appropriate commercial lead from UPL for the specified accounts to develop and deliver the respective customer plan.

Ensure colleagues who provide regional support to these same accounts have complete clarity on what is expected from them in their respective regions to deliver agreed customer plans.

 

Provide day to day regional technical support across the entire UPL product range to all distributor / independent agronomists and influencers within a specified region. Ensure strong relationships are built with key contacts to form a win:win philosophy.

 

Lead and develop the technical positioning and market messages for current and future products aligned to specific crop group ensuring alignment the market needs.

Key activities

 

  • Lead the Technical support activities for named National Distributors
  • Delivery of technical messages and day to day support to advisors across the entire portfolio within a designated region
  • Lead the technical evolution for a designated portfolio of products, ensuring market needs are fully understood and the technical messages for both current and future products are aligned to the market needs.  
  • Home based with meetings in offices as required.

  • knowledge of the crops, varieties as well as the pests, weeds and diseases in UK agriculture and how to overcome specific pest/infestation/disease problems

  • knowledge of the key plant protection, bio control and bio stimulants used in UK

  • Degree/ HD in Agricultural Sciences,
