Job Purpose:

Responsible for establishing, maintaining and enforcing business controls including policies and procedures as well as accounting processes and providing financial expertise for European region.

 

Job Description:

  • As Controller you will work closely with Business Unit controllers and HQ Controllers.
  • As European reginal Controller, you are responsible for establishing and maintaining effective business control environment. Coordinates external and internal audits, performs training and business controls and financials reviews, makes recommendations for improvement and ensures improvements are implemented on a timely basis. Manages Shared Service Center relocation and continued performance. Works collaboratively with all other functions of the business to accomplish objectives.
  • Working with the Global Controller, to evaluate and harmonize internal procedures and controls, including delegation of authority and budgetary spending controls. You will be responsible for communicating department and global objectives, monitoring and reporting the legal entity performance.
  • This is a hands-on position, requiring this individual become intimately familiar with the business practices, systems and processes and building strong partnerships with other functions in order to be responsible for the accuracy of the business transactions, financial results and projections of the business as well as to make sound recommendations related to business transactions and decision. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 10 plus years of accounting and finance experience.
  • CPA required.
  • At least 3 years management experience with a strong track record of developing and advancing staff across Europe.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and acumen in information technology with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, enterprise systems and business intelligence applications.
  • SAP and BPC/BW experience strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in accounting concepts, practices, and procedures. Broad understanding of shared service center model.
