Main mission

 

Ensures business development on assigned area, developing products and services portfolio, defining product and crop strategies and marketing mix for commercialization by sales force in order to optimize in medium or long-term portfolio life cycle.

 

 

Scope

Countries covered: Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Monte Negro, Bosnia and Herzegovinian.

 

Objectives:

- Define the strategy that results in over-performance, market differentiation and branding reinforcement

- Identify business objectives, and implement a marketing strategy for the management of one or more active of the portfolio.

 

 

Position in the organization chart

 

-Report to the Country Head, and South Europe Marketing Head

-In connection with regional herbicides, fungicides, insecticides product managers, country departments.

-Member of the South Europe Marketing Team

 

 

Job expectations

 

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

 

  • Defines, plans and develop means to meet annual objectives (sales volumes, turnover and margin), contributing to sales force motivation and customer satisfaction.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the marketing of products/crops and/or services.
  • Defines marketing objectives and products, group of products and new products strategy (Business and R&D) in the short, medium and long term.
  • Build up with his team the Integrated Crop Solutions

 

Expected contributions

 

  • Establishes marketing strategy, means and goals to ensure market share increase and products profitability
  • Create and implement tools to anticipate market trends (business intelligence/ competitive intelligence)
  • Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products.
  • Researches analyzes and monitors financial, technological and market data so that market opportunity may be capitalized on and portfolio competitiveness be optimized
  • Plans and oversees the organization and marketing teams
  •  And adopt a corporate branding strategy
  • Develops and recommends pricing strategy for the organization which will result in the greatest share of the market over the long run.
  • Monitor marketing results and define and implement corrective action
  • Propose structure, organization and process of marketing
  • Plan marketing activity
  • Manage qualitative market studies (identify market actors, their needs, identify active ingredient companies and their performance) and quantitative market studies (processed hectares, volumes, values) on areas / segments. Analyze Focus Crop / Culture.
  • Support marketing strategy (SWOT, Marketing Mix)
  • Complete product presentation which will be the basis of the internal / external communication
  • Coordination of project team towards the strategic and business goals (Commercial/Supply chain/R&D/Legal)
  • Transversal actions for the Marketing Team
  • Source of innovations, creativity in business opportunities (new markets, partnerships…)
  • Interactions- technical services: Legal ((Branding and agreements, NDA / R&D agreement / distribution agreement), Finance, Supply Chain (COGS). Participate to the definition of the product strategy
  • Align marketing plans - regional and local (Top down and Bottom up)
  • Active member of SNOP process (Sales and operating process)
  • Creation and update of 5-years plan on dedicated products and annual budget process

 

 

Key competencies required for the role

 

     Educational background / Experience:

 

  • Education: Bachelor/Master in technical/scientific field such as Agronomy, Chemistry, Agriculture Engineer.
  • Experience: Agrochemicals knowledge (products, competitors, players, local market, decision making processes)
  • Proven ability to negotiate agreements and alliances
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in the agrochemical and biocide market
  • Fluent in English
